Vetminder

VetMinder is a prototype made in collaboration with master students of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University.

Research among pet owners, paraveterinarians and veterinarians has shown that there is a current underaddressed issue surrounding the therapy compliance of animal owners. The cause of this can be attributed to several factors, including veterinarian-owner communication, unrealistic medication schedules, owners' lack of knowledge about medical application and the essence of good treatment and forgetting to administer the medication.

VetMinder is an online platform and mobile app which aims to improve therapy compliance among pet owners. The platform offers custom medication schedules, instructional videos, reliable information about (side) effects, reminders for medication administration, repeat prescriptions and check-up appointments.

During consultations, VetMinder offers veterinarians a communication structure to inform owners about the therapy of their pets and to make agreements about the treatment together.
